"Adesugata Namida Musume" is Koizumi Kyoko's seventh single. The single reached #3 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for seventeen weeks, selling 348,000 copies. The single also reached #48 on the yearly Oricon charts for 1984. The single helped Koizumi win the Golden Idol Award at the 25th Annual Nihon Record Taishou.
The song was re-released in 1991 with Koizumi's fifth single A-side "Makka na Onna no Ko".
