"Yoake no MEW" is Koizumi Kyoko's 18th single. The song was Koizumi's choice song for the end of the year program Kouhaku Uta Gassen for 1986. Actress Azama Myuu has stated that her parents got her name from the song's title. The single reached #2 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for 14 weeks, selling 158,000 copies. The single also reached #71 on the yearly Oricon charts for 1986.
The single was re-issued in 1991 with "Majo" as the b-side.
