"Yasashii Ame" is Koizumi Kyoko's 32nd single. The title track was used as the theme song for the dorama Aisuru to Iu Koto which Koizumi starred in as the character Tsukimura Satomi. Various artists would later cover the song including ANRI, Van Tomiko, Hirose Kohmi, and Kawaguchi Kyogo. The single reached #2 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for 15 weeks, selling 959,000 copies. It also reached #18 on the yearly Oricon chart for 1993.
