"Mizu no Rouge" is Koizumi Kyoko's 20th single. The title track was used as the image song for the Kanebo '87 Spring Campaign. The single reached #1 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for ten weeks, selling 187,000 copies. It also reached #32 on the yearly Oricon charts for 1987.
A few months later after it's initial release, a remixed single was released in the 12-inch format. The remixed single came with a hand signed autograph by Koizumi herself on the back cover. The single was also re-issued in 1991 with "Smile Again" as the b-side.
