COCKAYNE SOUP is the debut mini-album released by Gazette. "Shiawase na Hibi" was previously included on the single "Gozen 0-ji no Trauma Radio" and it has been re-recorded. The entire mini-album was later included on Gazette's first best of album Dainippon Itan Geisha-teki Noumiso Gyaku Kaiten Zekkyou Ongen Shuu. This is their only indie mini-album that wasn't reissued by KING RECORDS.
The mini-album reached #13 on the indies Oricon charts, and #99 on the major charts where it charted for two weeks.
