"DISTRESS AND COMA" is the seventh major and 15th overall single released by the GazettE. The single was released in two different versions: a Optical Impression (CD+DVD) edition that comes with a DVD of the title song's PV, and a Auditory Impression (CD only) edition that comes with the B-side song "WITHOUT A TRACE". The title song was used as the ending theme song for the movie Hotel Chelsea, while the song "WITHOUT A TRACE" was used as the ending theme song for the movie Hard Revenge.
The single reached #3 on the Oricon charts, where it charted for eight weeks and sold 45,621 copies.
