Nishiwaki Yui

Nishiwaki Yui (1993)

Nishiwaki Yui (西脇唯) is a Japanese pop singer-songwriter, lyricist, and composer. Nishiwaki made her debut as a singer in 1992 with the single "Kaze no Dairiku", which was used as the theme of the television anime Kaze no Dairiku, under the label Victor Records. Later that year she switched labels to Columbia Japan and released her second single, entitled "Ashita mo♥Tomodachi". But, Nishiwaki didn't become very success until she moved over to King Records, where she released the single "Shichigatsu no Ame Nara". Around the same time, she started to composing music and writing lyrics for many artists.

In 1998, Nishikawa switched labels from King Records to Universal Music Japan. After two years, when her contract was up, Nishiwaki went to a indies label. Soon after signing the label ran into trouble. This has caused Nishiwaki to not release anything since 2003.
