Ayabie
Ayabie is now a major visual-kei band signed to Tokuma Japan Communications. Since the release of the mini album Rikkaboshi, the band has toned down the visual-ness to a more mainstream look. Ayabie's musical style consists of a wide variety of sounds and moods; ranging from ballads to catchy and upbeat, and to heavy and hard-edged punk/rock songs.

Biography
Ayabie was formed in the early spring of 2004 by ex-Hinawana members Ryohei, Takehito, and Intetsu with Aoi (ex-MASK, ex-Cynical Biscuit). The group had only played lives and recorded with support drummers, until Kenzo joined on October 1st, 2005. The newest addition to the band is Yumehito (ex-Soroban). A support guitarist who filled in after Ryohei's leave and officially joined the band on November 16th, 2006 (one day after the release of their second album Virgin Snow Colour).
Ayabie held their first free one-man live on May 8th, 2004 at Takadanobaba AREA titled "Ayabie Party?!". Here is where their first singles, Romancer / Hentai Saishuu Page and Heien no Ato, Ame, were sold and distributed free respectively. The next live held, on May 19th at Takadanobaba AREA, is where a slighty different version of Heien no Ato, Ame was again distributed for free.
Sometime before the release of the single FAINT / Topaz, Ryohei announced that he would leave the band permanently, due to a his disagreement about the bands future. Ryohei left the band on August 30th, 2006 on the one-man tour "TOUR-N.M.POPCORE-" finale at SHIBUYA-AX. After his departure, Ryohei started up his own band called Megamasso.
Band Name
Ayabie doesn't translate into anything, it is a nonsensical word. Before Ryohei's departure, the band had almost exclusively written Ayabie as アヤビエ, but they have also written it in kanji/kana as 彩冷える for a more stylized look (the "ru" isn't pronounced, it was chosen to keep the number of characters used the same as the katakana version). After Ryohei left, the band completely dropped the katakana for the kanji/kana, and have also written Ayabie in english or as 彩冷える-ayabie-.
