Hayashi Tetsuji

Hayashi Tetsuji (林哲司) is a composer, singer-songwriter, and arranger. Hayashi got his start after he was influenced by American pop music when he was kid. At age 20, he would get into Yamaha Music school and also work editing a Yamaha magazine. Soon after in 1973, he became a singer-songwriter but it didn't fair too well so he started to compose and arrange. Hayashi would compose for artists like Nakama Yukie, Kikuchi Momoko, Sugiyama Kiyotaka, and others during his career. In the 80s, he was credited as one of the peoples for bringing the golden age of 80's J-Pop.

In 2005, he would serve as composer and and a judge for the television audition show Uta Star!.
