Kaya (迦夜) is the former vocalist and lyricist of the darkwave/visual-kei duo Schwarz Stein. Since the group's disbandment in 2004, Kaya was quiet for about two years but has since jump-started and is pursuing a solo career. Using a one-time reunion project with Hora (called another cell) to help launch his career, Kaya released his first single "Kaleidoscope" on June 28th, 2006. In early 2008 Kaya announced that he would become a major artist and signed with next media communications inc., a label distributed by Universal Music. On April 23rd, 2008 Kaya débuted with his first major single "Chocolat" and opened his offical fanclub "Addict" through Yahoo! Japan. Kaya has an older sister, nomico, who is also a singer and have collaborated together.
