Information

"Ophelia" is the seventh overall single (third major single) released by Kaya. It was released through Polystar, after the label he was signed to (Next Media Communications, inc.) filed for bankruptcy and closed down. Similar to his fourth single "Carmilla" the title song, its lyrics, and art direction is inspired by a famous literary character. This one was inspired by the character Ophelia from the tradegy Hamlet by William Shakespeare. The pose on the cover is similar to the Sir John Everett Millais painting Ophelia (1852). Kaya's costume is a collaboration with the Lolita fashion clothing company BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT. The single reached #158 on the Oricon charts, where it charted for a week.
