Cell is the ninth major and 14th overall album released by PENICILLIN. It is their second and last album released through CROWN DIAMOND RECORDS, a sub-label of CROWN RECORDS. This was released in two different versions: a limited CD+DVD edition and a regular CD only edition. The limited edition comes with a DVD of the PV for track #1 "Momoiro gene", and volume 10 of their variety show Pe.Nicillin. The regular edition comes with the aforementioned PV's audio commentary in CD-EXTRA format. The limited first pressings grants a poster. The album reached #52 on the Oricon charts, where it charted for two weeks.
