Supernova is the eighth major and 13th overall album released by PENICILLIN. It is their first album released through CROWN DIAMOND RECORDS, a sub-label of CROWN RECORDS. This was released in two different versions: a limited CD+DVD edition and a regular CD only edition. The limited edition comes with a DVD of the PV for track #13 "RED MOON", and volume five in their variety show Pe.Nicillin. The regular edition comes with the PV for track #4 "earth born" in CD-EXTRA format. The album reached #71 on the Oricon charts, where it charted for a week.
