Indwell is the second major and third overall album released by PENICILLIN, only released a month after their last album, VIBE∞. This is their first release to have a video counterpart, Indwell was released 14 days prior. It was first released through PIONEER LDC on July 24th, 1996 in a two disc set housed in digipak casing with PVs and a photo gallery in CD-EXTRA format. On October 21st, 1998 it was re-released through east west japan as a one disc album with no extra contents. The album reached #75 on the Oricon charts, where it charted for a week.
