Information

Miyano Kumiko first got her start on August 10, 1986 when she won the special prize at the Miss Seventeen Contest. She was placed as the third member of the group's middle school unit "Bgumi" as B3. Her mother initially refused her to be in the group. But, after the staff came to her home many times to persuade Miyano's mother, her mother agreed to it.[1] That following year, she was promoted and became the 51st member when she became a high school student.

Yoshimi graduated from the group at their final concert on August 31, 1987. After graduating, she went back home to finish high school. After that, she became a model and a talento. In 1993, she formed the group KISS with Yamanaka Yumiko and Aoki Megumi. The group released three singles before disbanding. She also briefly formed the local group KUMI with TOP'S with Mori Chiharuko and Yamada Yumiko as part of the radio program they appeared on.

She has reunited with other former Onyanko Club members at various events. In 2002, even though she didn't participate on the single, Miyano Kumiko appeared on the reunion specials on the music show HEY! HEY! MUSIC CHAMP and the year end special FNS Kayousai. In 2010, she appeared in various commercials for the drink company Boss with other former members.
