globe is the debut album released by the band globe. The album reached #1 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for sixty-four weeks, selling a total of 4,136,460 copies and thus becoming the seventh best-selling album in Japan.. Since the album sold 3,762,610 copies in 1996, the album reached #1 on the yearly Oricon chart for that year. It also sold 373,850 copies in 1997 and thus reached #51 on the yearly Oricon chart for 1997. The album also won the Best Album Award at the 38th Annual Nihon Record Taishou and the Grand Prix Album Award at the 11th Annual Nihon Golden Disc Taishou.
