- Information
"Katatsumuri Samba" is Onyanko Club's ninth single. It reached #1 on the Oricon charts and charted for five weeks, selling 72,000 copies. Although the single reached #1, it was the lowest selling #1 single on it's debut week, selling only 41,720 copies. Onyanko Club didn't keep this record for long as Oginome Yoko's single "Sayonara no Kajitsu-tachi" would become the new record holder when it was released a month after "Katatsumuri Samba". The single was also the worst-selling #1 single in the history of modern Japanese pop music until the release of DEF.DIVA's debut single "Suki Sugite Baka Mitai" in 2005.[1]
