"embrace / slug and soul" is the twenty-third single released by TRF. "embrace" was used as the dorama Kamen no Jo theme song while "slug and soul" was used as the brand Kao Ravenous line CM song. The single, along with all the singles released by TRF up to 1999, was reissued in 2006 in a 12cm CD version with a cheaper price, to commemorate TRF's 15th anniversary.
The single reached #19 on the Oricon charts, and charted for four weeks
