Information

LOVE one. is the debut studio album recorded by Nishino Kana. It was released in two versions: a limited CD+DVD edition and a regular CD edition. The album was a large success and really a breakthrough in her career. Prior to this point, her singles were all outside of the top 30, except the album lead-in "Kimini Aitaku Narukara". The track "Kimi No Koewo feat.VERBAL(m-flo)" was released early as a digital pre-release and since had been certified Platinum by RIAJ for over 250,000 downloads. After this release, her popularity really took off with her next four singles all selling over 1 million downloads and her sophomore record to LOVE reaching #1 on the Oricon.

LOVE one. came a year after a string of singles and was a mix of upbeat pop mixed with R&B. The album was produced with a series of many different musicians such as SiZK from ★STAR GUiTAR, Jeff Miyahara, Nervo, and Kazuhiko.M. Johnny Loftus from AllMusic criticized Nishino's vocals, saying that the tracks relied to heavily on production, feeling that many of the tracks missed the mark. He also noted that when she is at her best Nishino can hold her own against stars such as Kato Miliyah and Hamasaki Ayumi.

LOVE one. was certified Platinum by RIAJ for shipment around 250,000 copies.

The album reached #4 on the weekly Oricon chart, and continued to rank for a total of 85 weeks. In 2009, LOVE one. sold 146,206 copies, making it the #56 album of the year.
