Information

LOVE one. is the debut studio album recorded by Nishino Kana. It was released in two versions: a limited CD+DVD edition and a regular CD edition. The album was a large success for Nishino and really a break through in her career. Prior to this point her singles were all outside of the top 30, except the album lead-in "Kimi ni Aitaku Naru Kara". The track "Kimi no Koe wo" feat. VERBAL (m-flo) was released early as a digital pre-release and since has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan for over 100,00 downloads. After this release Nishino's popularity really took off, with her next four singles all selling over 1,000,000 downloads and her sophomore record to LOVE reaching #1 on the Oricon.

The record comes a year after a string of singles and is a mix of upbeat pop mixed with R&B. The was produced with a series of many different musicians such as SiZK from ★STAR GUiTAR, Jeff Jeff Miyahara, Nervo, and Kazuhiko.M. Johnny Loftus from AllMusic criticized Nishino's vocals, saying that the tracks relied to heavily on production, feeling that many of the tracks missed the mark. He also noted that when she is at her best Nishino can hold her own again stars such as Kato Miliyah and Hamasaki Ayumi.

The album reached #4 on the weekly Oricon chart, and continued to rank for a total of 85 weeks. In 2009 LOVE one. sold 146,206 copies, making it the #56 album of the year.
