Respiration is the second album released by Shiina Hekiru. This album shows Shiina with an idol image, but not as heavily made-up like as she was on Shiena. There was only one single released leading up to the album's release, "Setsunai Egao", which contains a new arrangement for the album. The album also contains the single's b-side, "NEVER NEVER".
The album reached #28 on the Oricon chart, and stayed on the chart for a total of three weeks. In all the album sold a total of 31,460 copies.
