ASCENSION is the seventh album released by MISIA, and last with Rhythmedia Tribe. It was reissued by Sony Music Japan in 2008 after MISIA came back to the label, it used the first press cover and included the song "Rio".
The album reached #2 on the Oricon charts and charted for 10 weeks, selling 127,768 copies in 2008, making it the #91 album of the year.
