THE GLORY DAY is the first mini-album released by MISIA. "key of love ~Ai no Yukue~" was used as the dorama Tsuzuki! Vocabulary Tengoku theme song, "THE GLORY DAY" was used as the J-WAVE's 1998 Christmas Campaign Song and "INTO THE LIGHT" was used the Kenwood RAMPAGE CM song. The mini-album was recorded in London, with a gospel group.

The mini-album reached #6 on the Oricon charts, and charted for seventeen weeks. As it sold 633,570 copies in 1999, it was the 46th best-selling album of that year.
