LOVE IS THE MESSAGE is MISIA's second album. The album jacket was shot in Haleakala National Park, Hawaii. It was reissued in 2003 on a SACD format.

It reached #1 on the Oricon charts, charted for 59 weeks and sold 2,297,880 copies. As it sold 2,204,060 copies in 2000, it was the #4 best-selling album of that year. This was her second album to sell more than 2 milion copies.
