JUST BALLADE is MISIA's ninth album. "Work It Out" was used as the NTV program Jouhou Live Miyane Ya ending theme, "Chiheisen no Mukou Kawa e" was used as the program World News Satellite ending theme and "Boku no Kimochi" was used as the program Himitsu no Kenmin SHOW ending theme. It was released in three versions: a regular edition, a Winter Gift Package limited edition coming in a three-fold digipak and a 28-page photobook, while the other limited edition was a combination of a Blu-spec CD and a DVD including PVs.
The album reached #4 on the Oricon charts, and charted for twenty weeks. Despite the low first week, it sold more than her eighth album EIGHTH WORLD.
