"love the island" is the debut single released by Suzuki Ami. It is her first and only single to be released in a 8cm CD format. The title song was used as Guam Visitors Bureau's "Guam Island Summer Matsuri '98 Campaign" CM song. The single reached #5 on the weekly Oricon charts, where it charted for 22 weeks and sold 288,000 copies. Because the single sold 264,750 copies in 1998, it reached #90 on the yearly Oricon charts for that year.
A new version of the song was record in 2011, 13 years after Suzuki's debut. The song was used as her second digital single.
