Information

Aoi has loved singing since she was a child, at high school period, she sung in a band she had formed. After graduating from high school, she gave up her music career but continued performing publicly. Aoi was discovered as a singer through Nico Nico Douga video sharing network. Like other Nico Nico Douga artists, not much of her personal information is revealed. She was selected to sing the ending theme song for TV animation Fate/Zero, which was released as her debut single, titled "MEMORIA", on October 19, 2011.

On October 14, 2016 Aoi Eir announced that she will go on an indefinite hiatus on November, 2016. She made her return in February 2018.

In January 2023, Aoi announced that she would be going on yet another indefinite hiatus due to health problems that occurred around the new year. On December 30th, she announced her departure from both her agency (Guan Barl) and label (SACRA MUSIC) and that she would continue her activities slowly while keeping an eye on her health.
