- Information
Kibou ~Yell~ is NEWS first official single and marked their debut as a group, though it was released six months after their actual first single. This single marked the beginning of NEWS's eight person line-up as Moriuchi Takahiro left the group and Johnny's Entertainment before this single was released and was thusly not featured. Kibou ~Yell~ was the image song for the 2003 World Cup Volleyball. It reached #1 on the Oricon charts and charted for 20 weeks. It sold 395,406 copies, becoming the #13 single of 2004.
