Hoshi wo Mezashite is NEWS' sixth single and the first one after their year long suspension. Once again, this release featured only six members, as Kusano Hironori and Uchi Hiroki were demoted to the status of "trainees". Hoshi wo Mezashite was used as the theme song of the Japanese release of the film Happy Feet for which member Tegoshi Yuya voiced the main character. This single sold 310,505 copies in 2007, becoming the #13 single of the year.
