Information

CAROL ~A DAY IN A GIRL'S LIFE 1991~ is TM NETWORK's sixth studio album. The album tells of a girl named Carol Mue Douglas who lives in London, England with her father, who is a cellist, in 1991. One day, Carol discovers that music is disappearing from the world and is transported to another world to bring it back from the hands of the evil magician, Jaiganti. However, she is along in the fight as she gets help from new friends; Flash, Tico, and Clark. The story later inspired the creation of the 1989 anime CAROL.

Since originally released in 1988, the album has seen numerous reprints over the years due to the band's growing popularity and advance audio technology. A special four disc edition was released on December 24, 2014. The special edition came with a remaster versions of the CD, the 1989 concert tour, and the instrumental tracks. It also came with a 84-page photobook.

The original 1988 release reached #1 on the weekly Oricon charts, selling over 1,083,000 copies. Because 660,190 copies sold in 1989, the album reached #4 on the yearly Oricon chart for that year.
