Information

GORILLA is TM NETWORK's third studio album. Komuro Tetsuya originally wanted to call the album "TARZAN". But, it was their producer Kosaka Yuji who suggested the title "GORILLA". The album's title comes from the characteristics of a gorilla, powerful but yet tenderness. The band wanted to express those characteristics in their album through the genre FANKS. The songs "Come on Let's Dance" and "You can Dance" expresses the funky powerful feeling while "GIRL" and "Confession ~Kokuhaku~" expresses the tenderness ballad feeling.[1] Since originally released in 1986, the album has seen numerous reprints over the years due to the band's growing popularity and advance audio technology.

The original 1985 release reached #12 on the weekly Oricon charts, selling over 416,000 copies. The 2013 Blu-spec CD release reached #201 on the weekly Oricon charts.
