MAXIMUM GROOVE is the first best album released by MAX. First pressing of the album came with an 8cm CD of remixes of MAX songs entitled "MAXIMUM HYPER NON-STOP MEGA-MIX". The album reached #1 on the weekly Oricon charts and charted for eighteen weeks, selling 748,650 copies. It also reached #32 on the yearly Oricon charts for 1999. The album was certified million by the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
