- Information
"SWEAT & TEARS" is the 23rd single released by THE ALFEE and first under their new name with "THE". It was initially released as an EP record, then later as an 8cm CD. The title track is a prominent encore song in the band's concerts. The studio recording has Takamizawa Toshihiko as the main vocal for the entire song, but sometimes the live version has the members rotating from Sakurai Masaru to Sakazaki Kohnosuke, then Takamizawa. The single reached #3 on the Oricon weekly chart and charted for ten weeks, selling approximately 155,000 copies.
An English eurobeat cover of the same name was sung by DAVE RODGERS on the album the ALFEE MEETS dance.
