"PROUD OF YOU" is the 28th single released by Shiina Hekiru. The title track was used as the ending theme song for the Playstation 2 video game, R-TYPE FINAL. The single was re-released in 2004 to support the foreign release of the game. For the single Shiina worked with lyricist Mori Yukinojou, whom has worked with such artists as VOW WOW (one of Shiina's favorite bands). The single is the first released leading up to Shiina's 11th studio album, "Wings of Time".
The single reached #21 on the Oricon chart, and stayed on the chart for a total of four weeks. The re-released failed to chart. This single sold a total of 11,330 copies.
