So Yeon (소연) is a Korean pop singer. She is the main vocalist for T-ara and also a member of the sub-unit QBS. She was an SM Entertainment trainee scheduled to debut as a member of Girls' Generation, however she withdrew from the group before they debuted due to the stressful training regime. She was the leader for T-ara since January 2012 to July 2013, and the first member to join after Ji Ae and Ji Won left. Her real name was "Park In Jung", she later changed her name to her stage name "So Yeon" officially due to her peers and family always referring to her as "So Yeon" and not "In Jung" ever since she was a little girl.
