Art Performace Unit “trico dolls” (美術部 Art Performance Unit “trico dolls”) is a sub unit of the Japanese idol group Sakura Gakuin. They are the ninth sub unit to debut from the group, following Twinklestars, BABYMETAL, Minipati, SCOOPERS, sleepiece, Pastel Wind, Kagaku Kyumei Kiko LOGICA? and Kobaibu. The original members are Mori Momoe, Shintani Yuzumi,and Nozaki Yume. Mori Momoe has been trying to bringan art subunit into Sakura Gakuin since her transfer in 2016. The trio, "trico dolls", along with their first song, "C'est la vie", was debuted at the Sakura Gakuin Festival 2018. The name "trico dolls" is speculated to be a shortened form of "Tri Color", as in primary colors, and because there are three members in the group. <font (Credit to the user SANA_SCREAM on Reddit)
