Talk:Seiyuu
From generasia
I would like to have a "Records" section in this article listing all the records and achievements held by different seiyuu. But I can't seems to find a complete list, nor can i think of how to format the section.
Here is what I have so far.
- Highest charting album: Mizuki Nana - "Ultimate Diamond"
- Highest charting single: Mizuki Nana - "Shin'ai"
- Best selling album: Hayashibara Megumi - "Iravati" - I think it is. I have yet to see one that has sold more.
Any thoughts or help on this is appreciated!! ~ Themonkeyofdoom 16:04, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Here a list of best selling albums and singles by seiyuus:
- Best selling single: Mezame Pocket Monster by Matsumoto Rica: 1,127,760. By the way, why I don't see Motteke! Sailor Fuku and Seikan Hikou by Nakajima Megumi?
- Best selling album: iravati by Hayashibara Megumi: 277,060
- Here a list of best selling albums and singles by seiyuus:
- First seiyuu single to reach #1 on Oricon daily chart (on the first day, thanks to Gundam SEED) is Honoo no Tobira by FictionJunction YUUKA (personally, I don't consider it a 'seiyuu single' since Nanri was in a pop duo with Kajiura), following by Shin'ai by Mizuki in January 2009 and then Don't say "lazy" by Sakurakou K-ON Bu in April 2009.
- Houkago Tea Time by HO-KAGO TEA TIME is the first character album to reach #1 on the weekly charts, it is still the best selling character album to date.
- For the weekly charts (according to an article by Oricon published when Ultimate Diamond topped the charts (I can't find it now)):
- First seiyuu album to enter top 3 is iravati by Hayashibara (1997): #3
- 2nd is Single Collection+ Nikopachi by Sakamoto (2003): #3
- 3rd is Ultimate Diamond by Mizuki (2009): #1
- For the weekly charts (according to an article by Oricon published when Ultimate Diamond topped the charts (I can't find it now)):
- Longest charting character single are:
- Suzumiya Haruhi no Tsumeawase by Hirano Aya and Goto Yuko: 129 weeks with 146,059 copies.
- Hare Hare Yukai by Hirano Aya, Chihara Minori and Goto Yuko: 92 weeks with 125,349 copies.
- Longest charting character single are:
- XD, just found the total sales ranking, I thought I lost it (up to July 2009)
- 3,708,000 TWO-MIX (is it considered? It a pop duo too)
- 3,670,693 Hayashibara Megumi
- 1,383,320 Matsumoto Rica
- 1,202,018 Shiina Hekiru
- 929,308 Mizuki Nana
- 918,077 Koda Mariko
- 890,548 Sakamoto Maaya
- 529,721 Horie Yui
- 323,675 Tamura Yukari
- 281,901 Kuribayashi Minami
- 211,173 Hirano Aya
- 119,691 Chihara Minori
- XD, just found the total sales ranking, I thought I lost it (up to July 2009)
- I think Motteke! Sailor Fuku is still the best selling group single up to now (maybe Don't say "lazy" will out sell it).
- I think the first seiyuu/anime song to enter top 10 weekly is Ai Oboete Imasu ka by Iijima Mari in 1984 (^_^ Lynn Minmay) (CAT'S EYES by Anri in 1983 was a pop song used for anime). After that, Iijima stopped working as a seiyuu and works full-time a singer but Lynn Minmay is still a big role, the first anime music to made a hit.

WOW!
Thank you so much for all of that!! Now I just have to think on how to organize it. I think I'll just list the best selling/rankings and what not, then probably make a table (like the end of the year chart) listing all of them.- For the groups such as TWO MIX and FictionJunction YUUKA, I don't really count them. Since they're a group an not just a seiyuu, I don't like to count them. What do you think though? I do think this chart is a bit off though. They didn't list Bertemu at all (which is the first seiyuu album to reach the top 3, and it has over 100K in sales), and it should have a lot more of Hayashibara's singles. It looks like maybe it lists only the best selling single by a seiyuu? ~ Themonkeyofdoom 19:00, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, this list is really incomplete but at least it will give us a idea (at least we know about the Pokémon XD). If we going to made an article for top selling seiyuu singles/albums lisk this, we can complete this list... For the highest charting albums, I think I missed Bertemu, sorry, and how did Hayashibara's Ayanami Rei character album sell?
