Jessica was born on April 18, 1989 in San Francisco, California. She was discovered by SM Entertainment at the Starlight Casting System in 2000, and moved to South Korea for training and enrolled in the "Kent Foreign High School". Jessica trained for seven years and six months then debuted in Girls' Generation on August 2, 2007. Besides her activities in Girls' Generation, Jessica has been active solo.
