"Chou HAPPY SONG" is a single released by Berryz Kobo and °C-ute. The title track was the opening theme for Happy Music on NTV. It was released as a digital single followed by a physical release in five versions: limited A and B with bonus DVDs, limited C and D with coupling tracks by either artist, and a CD-only regular edition. The limited editions came with a serial number card which, when entered in a lottery, could win a ticket to one of the single's launch events. The single reached #3 on the Oricon charts and charted for seven weeks, selling 56,895 copies. The Event Vs were sold only during launch events, and therefore did not chart on the Oricon charts.

"Chou HAPPY SONG" is a combined version of "Because happiness" by Berryz Kobo and "Shiawase no Tochuu" by °C-ute, from the respective albums Ai no Album 8 and Dainana Shou "Utsukushikutte Gomen ne". Both songs were composed by Tsunku in such a way that when played simultaneously, they would form a complimenting melody. Tsunku had written in his blog that there was a "secret" for both songs. (1 2) Fans discovered the connection prior to the song's debut at Hello! Project's 2012 summer concerts, leading to videos being uploaded to the Mobekimasu channel and the release of a digital single.
