Singer-songwriter is the eighth studio album released by Sakamoto Maaya. This is the first album produced by Sakamoto in both lyrics and music. The limited edition came with a DVD with a PV and a documentary in which she shows the album writing process. The music was arranged by Kouno Shin and Watanabe Zentaro. Also, the album includes a new arrangement of "Chikai" and a remix version of "everywhere" by HAL, both previously compositions of her.
