Music Video
The first teaser for "Pi, Ttam, Nunmul" was released on October 6th, several days before the album's release, with the full music video being released on October 10th. It was directed by Choi Yong Seol from Lumpens and choreographed by Keone Madrid and Quick Style.
The music video starts with the members visiting an European Renaissance museum, in a hall full of angels statues. Footage alternates between close-up shots of each member staring directly into the camera and group-shots of their performance of the choreography. Throughout the different cut-ins of the member, several references are made to classical works of art and literature. In-between the music video, RM recites a passage from Hermann Hesse's Demian, not featured on the studio version of the song. At the end of the video, Jin gets close to a white angel with black wings and kisses it and V shows his back to the camera and marks of ripped wings can be seen on his back.
The music video for the Japanese version of the song was released on May 9th, a day before the single's release. Although it still has some cultural references, it's theme is more centered on the storyline set by the previous "I Need U" and "RUN" music videos, but set in an alternate reality where they try to kill each other.
