"For You / Time Limit" is Utada Hikaru's sixth single, and her second double a-side single after "Automatic / time will tell" in 1998. Surprisingly, neither track was used for any tie-up. Its popularity is most likely due to the fact that just after the release, Utada started her first nation-wide tour. "Time Limit" was arranged and produced by Rodney Jerkins (aka "Darkchild"), making this Utada's second involvement with a famous American R&B/Hip-Hop arranger. The single reached #1 on Oricon charts, charting for 13 weeks, becoming the #18 single of 2000 in Japan. It reached #32 on World Charts for single airplay, and reached #28 for sales. In total the single sold over 909,000 units.
