Hatsukoi is the seventh Japanese album released by Utada Hikaru, and her first album under Sony Music's sub-label Epic Records Japan.
The album was very sucessful both domestically and internationally, it debuted at #1 in Oricon daily charts, and peaked at #1 in Japanese iTunes and 7 other countries, #2 in Brazil and Spain, #4 in the US, #5 in Canada and Australia, and charted in top 10 in 22 countries, for a total of 32 countries.
