"Ave Maria 2001" is song recorded by Matsuda Seiko, B-side of her 51st single "Anata Shika Mienai". The song is a Japanese new version of the orginal Ellens dritter Gesang, often mistakenly referred as "Ave Maria". It was used as CM song for Doctor Devias Cosmetics.
One year after the original release, two new versions were released on Matsuda's fourth English album, Area62; "ave maria", an English version, and "ave maria (wavemix)", a remix English version.
