"Kanashimi no Boat" is Matsuda Seiko's 45th single. For this single Matsuda Seiko works again (11 years later) with lyricist Matsumoto Takashi, who wrote many of her previous works until her 25th single "Marrakech". The title track was used as theme song for the dorama OUT ~Tsumatachi no Hanzai~. The single reached #27 on Oricon charts and charted for 9 weeks.
