"Yume no Uta / Futari de..." is Koda Kumi's thirty-third single. The first press editions included two bonus tracks, "Yume no Uta ~Quartet version~" and "Futari de... ~WHOOSH MIX~". Interestingly, only one melody is used for both of the songs. While both of the songs are ballads, they have two different arrangements and completely different lyrics. "Yume no Uta" is about the sadness of breaking up with someone, while "Futari de..." is about the joy of growing up. It is also the theme song for the Fall '06 Japanese dorama, "Damens Walker". The single reached #1 on Oricon charts and charted for 16 weeks. It sold 175,643 units in it's first week and the most recent figures show that it sold a total of 301,169 units. "Yume no Uta / Futari de..." was Koda Kumi's first #1 single since feel (which was released in January 2006) and due to its high sales, was the #26 single of 2006. This is Koda Kumi's second highest single, beating out Real Emotion / 1000 no Kotoba.
