Dear is Matsuda Seiko's 19th best album. It compiles 11 songs written and composed by Matsuda, plus a new version of "Daite...". It was the third best album released by Sony Music Japan after Matsuda moved to Universal Music Japan. The first press comes with a transparent case with Matsuda's shape in silver color which overlaps the original picture in the CD case. The album reached #27 on Oricon charts and charted for 5 weeks.
