Linlin is an "exchange student" from China, as well as an addition to the eighth generation of Morning Musume.

History
Linlin was scouted when she was in the second grade by a Chinese TV station. She has since acted in dramas and MCed shows.
After being introduced to Tsunku, she became a part of the Hello! Pro Egg and performed as a backup dancer during the Hello! Project 2007 Winter ~Shuuketsu! 10th Anniversary~ tour.
After seeing her perform, Tsunku added her to the eighth generation of Morning Musume with Mitsui Aika and Junjun.
