"One・Two・Three / The Matenrou Show" is Morning Musume's 50th single and is a double A-side single. The single was releaed in seven versions (limited A, B, C, D, E, F editions and regular edition) with Limited A, C, and E containing bonus DVDs. All the limited editions and the first press of the regular edition came with a serial number card which, when entered in a lottery, could win a ticket to one of the single's launch events. A special box set including all versions of the single and a ticket to a group picture event was also released.

Limited A and B editions contained a B-side performed by sixth generation members Michishige Sayumi and Tanaka Reina as the "Morning Musume Rokkies". Limited C and D editions contained a B-side performed by ninth generation members Fukumura Mizuki, Ikuta Erina, Sayashi Riho, and Suzuki Kanon as "Morning Musume Qki". Limited E and F editions contained a B-side performed by tenth generation members Iikubo Haruna, Ishida Ayumi, Sato Masaki, and Kudo Haruka as "Morning Musume Tenkigumi".
