Information

"VINTAGE S" is the first best of album released by Hayashibara Megumi. This is the first of two best-of album released by Hayashibara, with the second album, "VINTAGE A" being released two months later. The majority of the album is made up of singles, along with a couple b-sides (Oyasumi Nasai Ashita wa Ohayou, Lively Motion, and ~Sorekara~), and an album-only track (Touch Yourself). The first press edition of the album came with the VHS Tobuketsu Hayashibara Megumi O'Takara Video. The cover of the album was drawn by manga-ka Takada Yuzo, whom Hayashibara has a voiced a character for in each of his animes.

On 2005.03.16, a limited edition re-release was issued along with all of Hayashibara's other albums up through the VINTAGE albums. This version of the album featured all the tracks remastered and a 24 page album booklet, and a 16 page photo booklet, all of which located inside a special box.

The album reached #6 on the Oricon chart, and stayed on the chart for a total of six weeks. The re-release of the album reached #232 on the Oricon, and only charted for a week.
